“This was a great opportunity for us to welcome someone who works tirelessly for our Veterans,” said Leslie Wiggins, Atlanta VA Medical Center Director, “He’s [Judge Green] on our side, and it was my pleasure to show him that with his help, together we are rehabilitating Veterans.”
Judge Green served on the YWCA’s Selection Committee for Woman of the Year for the 31st Annual Tribute to Women of Achievement at the at the Cobb Galleria Centre and proudly represented Cobb County and the Cobb Superior Court Judges at the function.
Shepherd's Men running to help veterans
Judge Green was invited to speak to the Marine Corps Area Council during which three devoted U.S. Marines recognized the Council for their support of the Shepherd’s Men and the SHARE Initiative.
This important organization is helping veterans with Traumatic Brain Injury and Post Traumatic Stress Disorder.
After addressing the Family Law Section of the Cobb Bar on Monday, Judge Green stated,
“I am proud to be a member of the Family Law Inn of Court. I commend the Family Law lawyers for tackling some of society’s most difficult issues with compassion, dignity and respect. From serving as a foster parent and father of two children, we all have to work together for the betterment of families in Cobb County”.
Meet Cobb County Judges: Judge Reuben M. Green
Judge Reuben Green presides over Cobb County Veterans Accountability and Treatment Court. Veterans Court serves veterans who have underlying issues associated with their military service that, in part, causes them to be involved in the criminal justice system.
Prior to becoming a Superior Court Judge in 2010, Judge Green served as a Special Assistant United States Attorney in the Northern District of Georgia, an Assistant District Attorney in the Cobb Judicial Circuit, and as an attorney with the law firm of King & Spalding.
